Anyone going to see the Bravery at Culture Room tomorrow night?

In Fort Lauderdale?

I just bought tickets!

To see The Bravery at the Culture Room on October 16th and to see Mute Math at Revolution on November 4th!

Super excited right now.

For my birthday...

Would someone like to buy me tickets for:

I’ll be your best friend…?

Sufjan is going on tour again! Tickets on sale tomorrow!

…And he’s coming absolutely no where near me. ‘Tis sad, very sad.

Though I have missed going to concerts as often as I did during my time in Atlanta, I have not missed the remaining smell of nicotine on my clothes, hair, and skin after the show. It’s gross, to me.

I just returned from the Bon Iver concert at Revolution down the street in downtown Fort Lauderdale. It was my first concert since moving down here.
Although I still wish I could have been at two places at once tonight (to see Animal Collective as well), Bon Iver was absolutely incredible.
I’ve never seen a band that is a) any more passionate about their music and b) any more grateful for their audience.
Since south Florida gets few good bands coming all the way down here on tour, Bon Iver was a big deal. It was their first time to tour in Florida. The venue was packed, despite the Animal Collective show, and the crowd was so glad to be there. The crowd was a sea of hipsters, which I was a part of, but at times it was kind of funny.
Overall, great show!

I just bought tickets to see Bon Iver!

Tuesday, June 9, Animal Collective is going to be at the Culture Room here in Fort Lauderdale which I would absolutely love to go to, but they have been sold out for months!

Well this morning, I randomly found the tumblr Daily Concert Info and scrolled through all the listings to see that Bon Iver is going to be in Fort Lauderdale the same night at Revolution Live, which is literally a few blocks from me!! So I immediately bought tickets!

Now I know these are two very different types of music, but I love them both and I will have to compromise with seeing one that night. Fort Lauderdale/South Florida just does not get that many good shows (and of course these two would be on the same night...). I think it is just too far south for anybody to venture while they’re on a tour.

Boy, do I miss being in Atlanta…Great shows almost every night! So many options! All the venues…my favorite being The Tabernacle, followed by Variety Playhouse, The Roxy, Centerstage/Loft/Vinyl, and the Masque. Oh and of course, the Fox!

PS - Convenience charges suck!
